Who am I as an artist? Who do I want to introduce to other professionals at an audition? What do I have to offer to a production? What kind of career do I want to build? Addressing these questions is the under-appreciated step before you try to tackle finding a new song or selecting your monologue. There is a lot of wonderful material out there, so it can be hard to know where to start looking. Answering these questions for yourself is a good way to start honing in on songs and monologues that will invite your true self to shine through!
