Whether it’s been on TV, in commercials, or in the movies, we’ve always acted on camera. Entire audition techniques have been built specifically to achieve success in auditioning for these mediums. These techniques have worked for years, however when us musical theatre performers found ourselves stuck on Zoom during the pandemic, the audition game changed once again. Now we are no longer just sending in self tapes for TV gigs–we’re having to send in virtual submissions for musicals, film engaging content to post on social media, and so on and so forth.
